RE: Non-commercial Class A

I got mine this past Spring and I would recommend it. If your caught driving out of class they can and most likely will force you to park it. The test takes some work and commitment but the piece of mind was worth it to me! Yup. The Commercial CHP officer that popped me said he could have made me park it but let me go home (250 miles away) with a non-comm class A fix-it ticket instead. I passed mine with all of the info I found on this board. Try the search.

RE: Non Comercial Class A Endorsement

So did I understand it correctly? A tow behind dual axle trailer like my WW FS2600 does not require me to have a non-commercial class A endorsement. Bumper pull over 10000 or 5th wheel over 15000 requires non-commercial class"A" Chp got me for over 10000 bumper pull and ticket demands I need non-commercial class "A"

RE: My first Mod, ever-for the cat!

Sounds like when I was captured. They slide me down a chute into a 'potty' well too. Just like your kitty. But I was there for months. Thanks for reminding me.

RE: Non Comercial Class A Endorsement

1) 20 question written test. You can only get 3 wrong in order to pass. 2) Health questionaire every 2 years. No need for doctors certification. 3) Pass an inspection then Pass driving skills. Pretty easy but read up on handbooks online at DMV site. www.DMV.ca.gov Just remember to use the words "non-commercial class A license" when requesting forms and tests.

RE: Help on new pickup

Thank you all for your input. I really don't "need" a new truck but I am self employed and it helps come tax time. The truck is in great shape and owes my nothing, it only has 40,000 miles on it so someone will be getting a great truck. So I will end up getting a newer sister of this one. Thanks for the spec's I will copy those for the future.:B Keep it. Have the business 'sell' the 05 to you or your wife personally at a low low depriciated rate and have the business by itself a new one.

RE: Learn by my mistake, leave the pin in

Hay don't feel to bad, While camping in Punta Gorda,FL last winter I watched a man pull in with a tandem car trailer behind his MH. After he un hooked he was standing text to the trailer looking like he lost a best friend so I asked what was wrong, He said he had lost a fender and did not know it. Can you imagine coming up on a tandem fender sliding down the road. Got a better one. Few years ago coming back from Glamis Dunes, a TT lost its batteries. Don't ask me how cuz all I remember were the batteries sliding down the freeway at 60mph and batt acid everywhere. It was a mess but we kept on truckin.

RE: Learn by my mistake, leave the pin in

I was following a truck the other day and he lost his ball and shank.. it bounced out infront of my car and came to rest before I hit it.. I stopped and threw it off to the side of the road and followed him and told him he lost it. He was concerned and kept asking if i was sure it didn't hit me. I told him where it was.. You should have thrown inside your car and asked him if there was a reward! :B

RE: serves light blinking

Dealer say he needs to replace plugs and wiring the fuel filter and severs and clean the fuel systems does this sound right to stop the misfiring. At $846.00 I hope this is right I hate to be towing and breakdown What the dealer is most likely doing is replacing ALL of the coil packs even though it's likely only one is bad. They are around $50-60 a piece. But, if you can't work on the truck yourself, what are you going to do? A lot of people lament that you "can't work on new trucks". Not true. With a code scanner, internet access and some basic understanding of how the ignition and fuel systems work on new vehicles, many problems can be troubleshooted and repaired successfully by a do-it-yourselfer. ^^^^^ that....and a set of Helm's OEM Service Books works too.

RE: Learn by my mistake, leave the pin in

The sleeve can't cost much more than $30. But the guy following him in a 7series BMW needs to replace his oil pan. :( Everything on the road tends to find my windshield :E:E...replaced three windshields back in '06 ! Shoot. If that thing hit someones windshield, it can take the person out. I was being optimistic with the oil pan.

RE: serves light blinking

typically when it blinks, its not good. Could be a fuel delivery problem. Go to local parts chain store and either buy or borrow their cheapy scan tool and research the code. The tool can also clear it.

RE: When is gas gonna kill your camping?

I thoroughly enjoy the comments form from some of our neighbors to the north. Seems strange when we import more oil from Canada than from the middle east. They (the Canadians) are also benefiting from this increased cost don't you say? Then I think we should pull our troops from Iraq and invade Canada instead and make it one big fueling stop and camp ground for us Americans. :B :B :B :B

RE: Largest Under-Body Mount Fuel Tanks?

..leaving my beloved GM products as GM doesn’t build a 1 ton SRW..... You're misinformed. Chevy DOES build a 3500 SRW. Look online @ www.chevrolet.com and try building one. The RPO code for SRW is C4M. As for the tank, try Titan Tanks @ click here. I believe Aero makes you have them install it. Kind of strange. Check it out.
